Many users are having problems with group chat in Adium 1.0.3.
We've fixed the problem for 1.0.4, which will hopefully be out in the near future. In the meantime, there is a workaround: Go to Adium->Preferences->Advanced->Message History and uncheck "Show up to 5 lines of history in new windows." This will completely disable the display of recent messages in message windows, but group chat should be functional again.
If you don't use group chats, or you're not experiencing any problems, this doesn't apply to you :)
When Adium 1.0.4 comes out and you upgrade, you'll probably want to turn the feature back on.

Pretty serious issue that seems to have relatively low priority... The single reason Im not using adium for my day to day messaging needs.

Sure would like to have the ability to send out a broadcast message to everyone on a group... I keep having to go over to PSI to do this. This is a function I use at work quite often. Thanks
Lemme tell ya, "group chat" (since when is a CHAT not a group thing anyways?) support in Adium 1.1.4 also happens to TOTALLY SUCK.
It just DOESNT CONNECT AT ALL 80% of the time, with NO ERROR MESSAGE WHATSOEVER and no indication of what might be wrong, nothing.
It just plain sucks, the support for AIM chatrooms in this client is complete garbage.
I WANT GAIM BACK!!!
