I've fixed a few bugs with the new log viewer. The fixes should be in the next binary (Nov 29 or later).
Because one of the bugs involved searching, you're going to need to reset your Adium log searching indexes. To reset the search index, quit Adium and:
Delete the 'Adium' folder from at ~/Library/Caches (From inside your home folder).
Next time you open Adium's log viewer it will rebuild the index, and all should work :-)
Do not post bugs or requests to the comments! Use Trac.

So today's binary has a change to the way languages are encoded... AIM seems to include LANG="11" when sending non-English languages. This is not standard HTML, and I'm not sure what it means. For the moment, we're going to include LANG="11" with every message... please IM me or email me if you come across any problems sending or receiving, letting me know which you were doing, what language, and between Adium and what other client/platform.

If you are getting a crash on launch with the newest binary, 'Get Info' on Adium in the finder and disable the 'Event Bezel' plugin.
This is already fixed in the CVS, so it should work as expected in the next binary :-)

New message prefix preferences are in for the next binary! :-)
Message prefixes can now contain time stamps, specify alias/userName display, conditionally display additional text, contain inline messages, and support tail prefixing. When a prefix with an inline message is used, the message view will hide user icons and bubbles, reverting back to a classic IM look.
It's pretty spiffy stuff, and more powerful than the preferences let on. :-)
Because of these changes, you must either:
A) User the message display preferences to select a prefix from the menu
or
B) When Adium is closed, trash the file located at (From your home folder):
~/Library/Application Support/Adium 2.0/Users/Default/Message Display.plist
to reset your prefixes to the new defaults.

Okay, after much ado with a string of magically compressed binaries, I think I've finally got it - Mike Hamburg suggested to me ssh'ing into my own box via cron, and that seems to work just fine (the binary up right now was generated by a cron-scheduled execution). For real this time, look for builds at 4 AM Central. :)
File transfer is coming along nicely; I'm wrapping it up so while it may be initially ugly as I concentrate on the nitty-gritty side of things, the beautiful file transfer UI which Adam has promised me will be easy to hook up.

Hey all you user icon haters! ;-) There's now a preference to hide the things in Messages->Display.
Even better: In the next binary, it will also hide the rounded corners in the message view! The iconless and squared off message view is very simplistic and clean, I think some of you will enjoy it. :-)

We've discovered a new tool for finding memory leaks ('leaks' from the command line)! :-)
As a result, builds from here on out should be gobbling up a lot less ram as time goes on. This should have a noticeable, positive impact on performance, especially after using Adium for extended periods of time.

Yay for memory management. I just attempted to tell a cLISP variable to release. :)

Well, I'm surrounded by my classmates, teachers, and other guests here at the Sheraton Molokai. This is awesome! I also don't want to go home! ;-) I know there's plenty of Adium work to do when I get back Sunday morning, but I should be well-rested and re-energized. Just wanted to let everyone know I made it here safely, and I'm having a great time. See you soon!

I'm also having a bad week at school. The school newspaper is meeting this week, and I'm leaving on Friday for Molokai (one of the other islands in Hawaii) for my Senior Class Camp. So, not much work from me either. :-/

I've just about got buddy icons in the message view the way they should be... remember how they looked in Brad's mockup a while back? Unfortunately, this is going to be a horrible week of school for me... so it may be a bit. I don't know if I ever said it publicly, but -damn- I love the new tab visuals, Adam.
